Man Charged After Warriewood Square Crash Involving Alleged Drink Driving

A 42-year-old man has been charged following a single-vehicle crash near Warriewood Square earlier this week that police believe involved drink driving.

Emergency services were called to the area after the vehicle left the roadway and collided with a light pole. The driver was assessed at the scene by paramedics, and no serious injuries were reported.

Officers from the Northern Beaches Local Area Command attended and conducted preliminary inquiries. A breath analysis test is understood to have indicated the driver was over the legal alcohol limit.

Following further testing, the man was arrested and subsequently charged with a drink driving offence and other traffic related matters.

He was later granted conditional bail to appear before court at a later date. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Local residents expressed concern about safety in the area, noting that traffic incidents near the retail precinct have been a source of worry for some time.

Police have reiterated their ongoing commitment to road safety and encouraged road users to take care, particularly during the busy holiday period.
