Inspire Early Learning Warriewood has been forced to close due to a rental dispute with the owners of the building, leaving around 90 families worried about finding a new day care centre in the area.

The day care centre, which leased a space at a commercial building along Jubilee Ave for years until it shut down earlier this year, revealed that they have been trying to negotiate with the owners since January 2023 but were allegedly locked out because of a dispute about rent.
What concerns parents is if they will be able to get a refund, which is equivalent to $125 per day since they paid in advance. Similarly, the staff at the centre were also left wondering if they would be able to receive pay and other entitlements.
The staff were represented by the United Workers Union who believe educators deserve for their questions to be answered.
In an email sent to families, Inspire Early Learning Warriewood clarified that they have no intention of steering clear of responsibilities with their landlord, their staff, or the families.
The centre also mentioned in the email that they are already working through this issue they had with the landlord which reportedly started during the pandemic.
One parent whose son was enrolled at the daycare centre for four years, was hoping to receive further updates beyond just the email.
Before shutting down, the childcare centre was among the highly rated long day care centres in the area.
It was one of the few early learning centres throughout Australia with a dedicated Family Lounge, where parents get to reconnect and spend some quality time with their child whilst enjoying their complimentary, barista-made coffee or tea.
